What We Do
Quiet Florida started due to the increase in noise pollution in Naples caused by concentrated aircraft traffic and loud exhaust from motor vehicles on our streets. We have heard from many with concerns regarding vehicle traffic, especially on super streets like Collier Blvd/951, aircraft overhead from Naples Airport. The increase in transportation noise is negatively impacting the Quality of Life on Naples residents.
Quiet Florida encourages the elected officials, Naples Airport management and Law Enforcement to pay attention to traffic, roadways and land use safety ordinances. The Board of Collier County Commissioners and our state and federal legislators should help us accomplish this.
We can improve the quality of life in Collier by channeling our efforts through voting and bringing awareness to our issues.
Quiet Florida (QC) supports
H.R. 4892. Reestablishment of Office of Noise Abatement and Control.
We will lobby Florida US Congressional Representatives and Senators to sponsor and vote for these and similar legislation that will provide local communities participate in decisions to reduce and mitigate the impact of low flying planes and funds to make local streets quieter.
We have quickly grown to be the #1 Statewide Florida NOISE POLLUTION group. www.QuietFlorida.com is a great environmental group, doing superb work tackling a rapidly escalating challenge to quality of life. Let’s keep Florida beautiful and peaceful for all people and God's creatures to enjoy.
