Naples Airport is starting to test new arrival flight procedures to help reduce noise at the airport this May.

For more than half a century, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has failed to adequately regulate noise. Last June, an anti-noise advocacy group, Quiet Communities, sued the Environmental Protection Agency for not doing its job to limit the loud sounds people are exposed to in everyday life.

Experts describe ways to turn down the volume, from earbuds to smartphone apps that detect harmful noise levels.
